As a beginner, we don't know how to start a server(here say Apache Tomcat 7.0.11).
You are having Apache Tomcat server installed/copied in you machine. The file structure of the server may be like this below.
Now goto bin folder and you will find startup.bat batch file. Double click and run the batch file.
It will open a server console and the server will be started.
